Anti-Doping Outreach Education Activity Stepped into the Public

On May 5-8, Anti-Doping outreach education activity was held during Dalian International Marathon 2015, with the subject of “Pure sport, say no to doping”. It is undertaken by Liaoning Anti-Doping Center, and sponsored by China Anti-Doping Agency and Liaoning Sports Bureau. The activity covers nearly ten thousand people, distributed about 6,000 copies of propaganda materials, and received widespread attentions and praise.

With the intensification of Anti-Doping work, Anti-Doping philosophy is improved continuously. WADA and national Anti-Doping organizations begin to plan and conduct the Anti-Doping education program for the public. Anti-Doping Administrative Measures adopted by General Administration of Sport on January 1, 2015 has taken “to improve the Anti-Doping awareness of sports participants and the public” as the important task of Anti-Doping work. For this purpose, after successful pilot during Beijing Marathon Expo 2014, China Anti-Doping Agency has formally introduced Anti-Doping outreach education activity into domestic major marathon events this year, and informs the public of Anti-Doping knowledge and delivers the pure sport concept by way of Q&A, article display, propaganda material distribution, and other activities.

Anti-Doping outreach education activities for the public will be held during Beijing Marathon and Shanghai Marathon. Moreover, Anti-Doping education activities for fitness clubs and mass fitness projects will be initiated and executed in succession. CHINADA will spread Anti-Doping knowledge and philosophy through a variety of ways, such as official website, WeChat public account, and various propaganda materials.
