First Session of CHINADA International Anti-Doping Symposium Will be Held in Beijing

First Session of CHINADA International Anti-Doping Symposium will be held in Beijing from July 16 to 17, 2019. 80 participants from 30 National Anti-Doping Organizations are expected to attend the symposium, including Norway, Japan, South Korea, Zimbabwe, India, Nepal and others. At the same time, Sir Craig Reedie, President of the World Anti-Doping Agency, Benjamin Cohen, Director General of International Testing Agency, and Head of Doping Control of 2020 Organizing Committee for Tokyo Olympic Games (Referred as TOCOG) will also be invited.
The theme of this symposium is "Implementing Effective Anti-Doping Program in Major Events". China has accumulated successful experiences from hosting major events. A set of efficient and effective systems, policies and operating modes has been formed. CHINADA will share its experience on overall operation, testing and education. The World Anti-Doping Agency, as an invited guest, will update all attendee with the 2021 World Anti-Doping Code and related International Standards. Heads of Doping Control of 2020 TOCOG and 2022 Beijing Olympic Winter Games will introduce anti-doping work respectively. The symposium also attracts representatives of organization committees of some future major events in China, such as the Asian Games, National Youth Games, National Games for Disabled Persons and National Games, so as to learn about the anti-doping work experience and practices.
With the aim of “independence, impartiality, profession and authority”, CHINADA preserves clean sports, defends the rights and interests of clean athletes. In recent years, by continuously strengthening the capacity, CHINADA has achieved remarkable accomplishments in education, testing, sample analysis and investigation. Meanwhile, CHINADA also plays an active role on the international level, fulfilling the obligations as one of the major anti-doping agencies by contributing Chinese wisdom in this field.
This is the first international symposium that CHINADA will host, in a hope to build a platform for national/regional anti-doping organizations to benefit from learning and exchanging. Through this symposium, CHINADA will deliver the resolution of "Win Clean Medals", and share the excellent experience of anti-doping to enhance regional and international influence.
