CHINADA hosts the 5th International Anti-Doping Symposium in Beijing

On June 1, the 5th CHINADA International Anti-Doping Symposium & iNADO Workshop was successfully held in Beijing. Co-hosted by CHINADA and iNADO under the theme "From Standards to Operations" , the conference brought participants together to focus on in-depth discussions around core topics including paperless testing, Doping Control Officer (DCO) management , and pre-event education.

Anders Solheim, Chair of iNADO, emphasized in his address that NADOs form the backbone of the global anti-doping framework. He commended the CHINADA’s professional practice and called on global colleagues to strengthen collaboration and enhance capabilities to jointly safeguard the independence and professionalism of the anti-doping efforts. 

CHINADA Director General Li Zhiquan noted in his opening speech that the true value lies in translating the World Anti-Doping Code and International Standards into daily practice. He stressed that the symposium is designed to facilitate the sharing of practical tools and insights across countries and regions.

In the session on paperless testing, representatives from Kazakhstan National Anti-Doping Center and PWC introduced practical experience with paperless testing and shared how information technology addresses the growing complexity of anti-doping work, emphasizing digitalization as the key path forward. CHINADA provided a detailed overview of the development of the AIMS paperless testing system. The updated version of the system has been successfully deployed across major events such as the 15th National Games and the 6th Asian Beach Games.

In the session on DCO management, KADA(Korea Anti-Doping Agency), SARADO (South Asian Regional Anti-Doping Organization), ADOHK(Anti-Doping Organization of Hong Kong, China) and CHINADA respectively presented their diverse practical experiences and modernized response strategies in the field of DCO management.

In the session on pre-event education, representatives from the OCA (Olympic Council of Asia), CHINADA, and ADOHK exchanged initiatives, achievements, and comprehensive strategies regarding pre-event education, emphasizing the promotion of clean sport through targeted education.

The symposium welcomed nearly 150 participants, including representatives from National and Regional Anti-Doping Organizations, anti-doping laboratories, as well as domestic and international experts in the anti-doping field.
