WADA & CHINADA spread the value of Clean Sport at Tsinghua University

On May 31, 2026, the event "Play True, One Team—Dialogue with WADA President Witold Bańka" was successfully held at Tsinghua University. Co-organized by CHINADA and Tsinghua University, the event brought together WADA President Witold Bańka, Vice-President Yang Yang, Director General Olivier Niggli, CHINADA Director General Li Zhiquan, Tsinghua University officials, excellent athlete representatives, and university students to discuss integrity, ethics, and the safeguarding of fair play in global sports governance.
In the keynote speech titled “Global Leadership for Doping-Free Sport”, WADA President Witold Bańka further elaborated on global compliance standards, technological innovations, and the unified strategy required to safeguard clean sport for athletes worldwide. “WADA's mission is to lead a collaborative worldwide movement for doping-free sport,” Bańka said.

WADA Vice President Yang Yang stated that a clean, doping-free sports environment is what gives athletes the confidence to go all out and expressed her appreciation for the critical role campus play in shaping the values of young generations, encouraging young students to actively participate in global public governance.

CHINADA Director General Li Zhiquan, detailed China’s firm attitude towards doping, and shared some insights into CHINADA's efforts in conducting anti-doping work. “Promoting clean sport in China is not just about spreading the Olympic spirit. It's about championing values that matter deeply to all of us,” Li said.

A panel discussion was held and engaged in a vibrant exchange on anti-doping education, athletes' responsibilities within the governance system, and the profound impact of clean sport on personal development and character building.
