Anti-Doping in China Reach Out to the General Public

27th and 28th April, more than 11000 Amateur Marathon runners competing in the 13th National Games of China came to the Wuqing Stadium, Tianjing City to get their ID and equipments. The huge Anti-Doping Education Outreach Booth settled in the stadium caught their attention. They were interested to learn about Anti-Doping information provided on site and were willing to sign their names and to take photos with posters of “Clean Sport Say No to Doping”.

At the same time, the Outreach Booth set in the athletes’ village was as attractive as the other one. More than 120 registered Marathon Athletes just finished their Anti-Doping Education Qualification Program before they came to compete.
They had past the online Anti-Doping Exam, signed the Anti-Doping Agreement, and made vows against Doping.

CHINADA held Anti-Doping Outreach Programs targeting at Amateur and registered Athletes during the Marathon Finals for the 13th National Games. This raised the curtains for CHINADA’s Educational Program for the National Games.
The 13th National Games allowed the competition of the general public, which is the first time in history, and also a huge reform on the National Games. The aim of this reform is to giving the general public a chance to participate in the National Games, and to share the fun of sport. CHINADA initiates Anti-Doping Educational Program on both groups of people.

As planned, the 13th National Games Online Anti-Doping Education Qualification System, a result of cooperation between CHINADA and its strategic partner the Media Sina Sport will came to use in May. The general public enthusiastic about sport can take part in this program to honor their responsibility just like a professional athlete. It is a chance for them to learn about sport spirit, Anti-doping knowledge, and the urge to preserve a clean sport field.
